Grace period granted

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 1 : The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has granted a grace period of three months for the renewal of work permits under the contracts of investors in cooperative societies until completion of procedures on the dismissal of investors from cooperatives and to amend their situation, reports Al-Shahid daily quoting sources.

In another development, sources said the authority took the fingerprints of directors in all departments in preparation for the implementation of the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) on the first of October as per the decision of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) requiring all employees to register their attendance through the fingerprint system regardless of their positions and number of years in service.
