Govt to execute 6,656 projects

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 16: Acting Minister of State for Economic Affairs, acting Minister of Finance Maryam Al-Aqeel revealed that government approved 44.500 billion dinars to execute a total of 6,656 projects in the annual plan of the five-year development strategy for 2010-2015 and 2015-2020, reports Al-Rai daily.

In response to a parliamentary question by MP Osama Al-Shaheen, the minister stated the actual allocation for projects is 28.300 billion dinars.

She explained that 140 of the total 267 projects scheduled to be implemented for fiscal years 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 are behind schedule, and 21 projects are in advance stage, while 101 projects are attuned with schedule.
