KUWAIT CITY, April 9: Badminton enthusiasts had an action-packed treat on Friday  as the Goodyear, Robinsons Land Corp and  Cebu Pacific Airlines Teams clashed head to head to land triple tie on the  first week major opener of  the FBAA 40th Conference — 10th Goodyear Tires Cup that was organised by the Filipino Badminton Association of Ahmadi at the Fahaheel Sports Club.

On the other hand, AYA Plant, Ali Café and HITCO Teams placed 2nd, 3rd and to 5th in the double-round robin elimination round.

Around 200 players from the Intermediate, Novice 1, Novice 2 and Novice 3 categories participated in the event after the FBAA technical committee  paired them fairly to have their respective teammates and compete for the Grand Championship in this tournament.

In another tournament, the Top Class Ladies 1 held its one-day tournament for the Queen of Ladies 1 Doubles title. On Ainur Jubail and Choi Commendador emerged as Champions while Janette Rimando and Gigi Imperiealde go the 1st Runner-Up.
