Gone with the cash

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 11: A Kuwaiti has filed a complaint with the police accusing his friend of betrayal of trust, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to the complainant he gave the suspect 1,000 dinars to change into sterling pounds. He said after he gave the money, he waited and waited for his friend to come with the money, but the latter did not show up and he went to a police station to file a complaint.

However, police discovered the man had already left the country through the Kuwait International Airport 20 days ago.

Moreover, the victim said, he found the suspect’s phone switched off. When he went to his house, he found no one. An arrest warrant has been issued against the man and he is expected to be arrested when he returns.
