24-karat gold in Kuwait hits KWD 36.270 as global prices surge.
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 21: The price of a gram of 24-karat gold in the Kuwaiti market reached about KD36.270 (about $111), and 22-karat gold reached about KD33.250 (about $101), while a kilogram of silver reached about KD467 (about $1,536), according to a special report issued by Dar Al-Sabayek on Sunday. The report stated that gold continued to break records, with strong gains for the fifth consecutive week at $3,685 per ounce, supported by the first US interest rate cut this year, as expectations are growing for another cut before the end of the year.
It added that gold futures for December delivery rose 0.74 percent to close at $3,705 per ounce, while the spot price touched a record high of $3,707 before settling within a range of $3,660 to $3,690 per ounce, affirming these developments are reflected in the Kuwaiti market.
