KUWAIT CITY, Sep 6: A domestic worker in Kuwait confessed to authorities that she had stolen from a female expatriate doctor who employed her. Following her verbal confession, she accompanied a detective to the room where she was staying and voluntarily returned the stolen items as evidence. Among the recovered possessions were a branded 18-karat gold bracelet and a sum of money.
According to a security source, the incident came to light when the expatriate doctor filed a theft report at Maidan Hawally Police Station. She accused her domestic worker of stealing her branded gold bracelet valued at 1,400 Kuwaiti dinars, along with 800 dinars in cash.
After the domestic worker was apprehended and confronted with the allegations, she admitted to the crime and surrendered the stolen items without resistance. The source added that the doctor chose not to pursue legal action against the worker. Instead, she was satisfied with the return of her belongings. Consequently, authorities proceeded with deportation measures and placed the worker on the list of individuals banned from re-entering Kuwait.
