Girl slits wrists with blade over differences with father

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 7: An unidentified young woman, who is believed to be in her teens, has been admitted to the admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Jahra Hospital after she allegedly attempted to end her life by slitting her wrists with a blade, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily added after the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior received a report on the incident police and paramedics rushed to the spot and discovered the victim was rushed to the hospital by the father. When police reached the hospital, she had already been admitted to the ICU.

The daily added, she will be interrogated when she is moved to the general ward. In the meantime, the father said she attempted to end life because of differences between him and his daughter. A case of attempted suicide has been registered against her.
