KUWAIT CITY, Aug 26: Al-Qadisiya’s Nigerian player, Daniel Gibbola, is now a target for Al-Arabi Club, which is keen on acquiring his services before the summer transfer window closes on September 20. This interest comes amid reports that Al-Qadisiya is considering parting ways with Gibbola, as well as Brazilian defender Igor Rossi, following a series of disappointing results and underwhelming performances from both players in the Premier League's first three rounds.

Al-Qadisiya’s recent defeat to Al-Arabi has left it trailing 6 points behind the league leaders Kuwait Club and Al-Arabi and 3 points behind Al-Fahaheel and Al-Salmiya. Al-Arabi, despite securing three victories in its opening games, has seen lackluster performances from its new signings, Algerian Ahmed Khaldi and Brazilian Carlos Alberto "Jaco." Jaco, in particular, faces a strong possibility of being released, given the availability of several local attacking options.

Al-Arabi is in search of a reliable midfielder, a role that Gibbola could fulfill. The club is familiar with Gibbola's abilities, making him a strong candidate for the "Green" team. It prefers not to scout for a new professional due to the risk of underperformance, similar to its experience with Egyptian Abdel-Rahman Khaled "Jebna" and Jaco. With the transfer window closing soon, Al-Arabi aims to secure Gibbola to avoid further complications. Al-Arabi resumed training under coach Nasser Al-Shatti and will play its first friendly match of the international break against Yarmouk on Thursday.
