BERLIN, Sep 29: The German Foreign Ministry offered its sincere condolences to the people of Kuwait on the death of His Highness the late Amir, the late Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
"The wisdom and diplomatic acuity of the late Amir has always fascinated us," the German Foreign Ministry website quoted Foreign Minister Heiko Maas as saying.
He added that Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad "has always been a tireless man in exerting mediation efforts in order to enhance channels of understanding, dialogue and balance in the Middle East region." (KUNA)
