Gearing up for National Days

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 29: As part of the preparations for the national holiday celebrations during the month of February, the Kuwait Municipality has developed an integrated plan to decorate official buildings and main roads with state flags, reports Al-Qabas daily. The flag and decoration control department has formed field teams as of Thursday began the process of flying the State flags on a number of official facilities and main roads, such as at the Bayan Palace and the Kuwait International Airport, then on the Airport Road and the Fifth Ring Road, then the First and Second Ring Roads, Jahra Circle, Safat Square and Mubarakiya.

The process of raising flags will continue, starting next week, in the Camel Racing Club, the buildings in the six governorates, the streets of Al-Ghazali, Tunis, Beirut, the Arabian Gulf, Al- Ta’awon, and the Fourth Ring Road Bridges. The Municipality has set February 1 for the official celebration of hoisting the State fl ag at the Flag Square.

Meanwhile, the head of the Farwaniya and Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorates sector in the Kuwait Municipality, M. Nawaf Al- Kandari, revealed that the supervisory team removed 68 camps that encroached on state property in the Abdullah Al-Mubarak area, pointing out that the municipality is keen to remove everything that distorts the general view or encroaches on state property, reports Al-Rai daily.

The official stressed the continuation of the intensive inspection tours of the control teams in all regions of the province to monitor and limit all transgressions and take all legal measures against violators to reduce all negative manifestations in all regions of the province, whether explicit encroachments by exploiting spaces on state property or practicing an activity without obtaining a permit from the municipality.
