Full Benefits for Those Who Lost Kuwaiti Citizenship

Kuwait reinforces disability rights for children of Kuwaiti women with new citizenship rulings.

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 14: The Ministry of Social Affairs has affirmed its commitment to ensure the continuity of all services and benefits provided to those whose Kuwaiti citizenship was revoked according to Article Eight of the Nationality Law. The ministry said these services remain in effect, based on the directives and decisions of the Council of Ministers regarding those subject to the decision to withdraw citizenship, which stipulates they be treated “like Kuwaiti citizens” in all benefits and services.

It clarified that all benefits enjoyed by this category -- whether social or service-related -- will continue without any change, in compliance with the decisions issued by the Council of Ministers and to preserve the stability of the conditions of beneficiaries and their families. It called on all those who have adjusted their legal status and who wish to inquire or obtain any clarifications to contact the WhatsApp number 22484531. It reiterated its full commitment to protect the rights of this group and provide them with the necessary support, ensuring their continuous enjoyment of all the services and benefits guaranteed by the Cabinet’s decision in this regard.
