KUWAIT CITY, June 17: In a significant breakthrough, the General Department of Criminal Investigation, specifically the Hawally detectives, have successfully solved around 10 theft cases, including house burglaries and vehicle thefts, following the arrest of a repeat offender with a long criminal history.

According to a security source, investigators had received credible intelligence linking a Kuwaiti citizen to a string of thefts predominantly carried out in the Hawally Governorate. Acting on this tip, authorities obtained a judicial warrant and apprehended the suspect from his residence in the Saad Al-Abdullah area.

During interrogation, the suspect confessed to carrying out the crimes in collaboration with an accomplice, a Bedoun. Both admitted to breaking into homes and stealing vehicles, later dismantling and selling stolen car parts to scrap yards. Investigators also recovered a quantity of stolen items in their possession and were able to confirm details of multiple burglarized apartments.

The pair is now in custody as legal proceedings move forward, and the police continue to investigate the extent of their criminal activities.
