From Apartment to Alcohol: Khaitan Operation Targets Local Brew

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 31: Personnel from the Directorate-General of the General Department for Drugs Control have arrested three people for manufacturing local booze. Permission from the Public Prosecutor was sought and the CID men raided the apartment in Khaitan which the suspects had turned into a liquor den. 100 barrels containing raw materials for manufacturing liquor and 24 bottles of local booze ready for sale were seized. The seized contraband and the bootleggers have been referred to the competent authorities.
