KUWAIT CITY, May 7: Acting Director General of the Ahmadi Security Directorate, Brigadier Hassanein Dashti, has ordered the referral of four expatriates to the Crimes Department after they were caught in possession of stolen electrical cables and equipment.
According to a security source, a patrol unit in the Sabah Al-Ahmad residential area stopped a suspicious half-lorry vehicle carrying two expatriates in the front cabin. Upon inspection, officers discovered two more expatriates hidden in the vehicle along with stolen cables, a transformer, and other electrical equipment. During initial questioning, all four suspects admitted to stealing the items.
Following the arrest, a citizen representing the Ministry of Electricity filed a complaint reporting the theft of four transformers and 28 electrical cables from the Al-Mutlaa area. The Deputy Public Prosecutor has registered the incident as a felony case, numbered 30/2025 Al-Mutlaa Felonies—classified as "Theft". Forensic teams have been tasked with examining the scene, while detectives continue investigations to confirm the identities and roles of the suspects.
