LOS ANGELES, Oct 25, (Agencies): Thanks to his housekeeper, Khalil Soussa's fortunes have taken a remarkable turn! This Massachusetts resident had purchased a $15,000,000 Money Maker lottery ticket, which had been forgotten and left to "collect dust" within his home for several months, as reported by the Massachusetts State Lottery.

It wasn't until Soussa's diligent housekeeper unearthed the ticket from a vase that the reality of his $1 million win in the instant ticket game finally sank in, according to lottery officials.

The fortunate winner, hailing from Medford, opted for the cash prize, receiving a lump-sum payment of $650,000 after tax deductions. He expressed his intentions to assist a friend in need and generously donate a portion of the money to charitable causes.

In another instance of lottery luck defying the odds earlier this year, Pharris Frank, a 41-year-old construction worker, struck gold with a $2 million win on a $20 scratch-off ticket, as revealed by North Carolina lottery officials. This remarkable win came nearly two years after Frank had previously claimed $1 million on a $25 scratch-off ticket.

Reflecting on his newfound fortune, Frank remarked, "It's crazy because the day before I won, my buddy was asking me how it felt to win $1 million. And I told him that I was going to double it."

This time, the resident of Advance, N.C., secured his luck with a Diamond Dazzler ticket purchased from Handy House in Morehead City, a testament to the unpredictability and excitement that the lottery can bring into one's life.
