Fines can be paid on Jan 1

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 31: The Public Relations and Security Media Information Department of the Ministry of Interior said paying fines for traffic violations will continue on New Year’s holiday, reports Al-Rai daily.

The Ministry of Interior in a statement, confirmed collecting traffic fines, and paying fines for releasing vehicles impounded by the GTD will be done also on Jan 1, 2020 from 8 am until 2 pm and from 2 pm to 6 pm.

It is noteworthy to mention, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Traffic Affairs Major General Jamal Al-Sayegh has issued instruction to all General Traffic Departments (GTD) to ‘release’ such cars after paying the fines. The process began last Saturday and will last until next Sunday, Jan 5, 2020.

Meanwhile, Public Relations and Security Media Department in the Ministry of Interior announced that evening shift timings at the citizens service centers will be 3:00 pm-7:00 pm starting from Jan 5, 2020, reports Al-Seyassah daily
