Filipinas among many held in vice raids – Two kilos heroin found on Indian

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 23: Farwaniya securitymen arrested four absconding Filipina women from a café in the governorate, reports Al-Anba daily. According to sources, when Farwaniya Director General Brigadier Saleh Matar received information about absconding women being employed in a café and billiard hall, investigations were launched. After confirming the information and taking necessary measures, the four women were arrested from the café and referred to the Immigration Investigations Department for their deportation.

Meanwhile, seven individuals were arrested during a recent security campaign in Farwaniya area. According to security sources, the arrested individuals included a Pakistani expatriate wanted by law for a loan of KD 1,000, a Filipino expatriate wanted for a loan of KD 1,587 and a Bangladeshi expatriate in possession of 16 bottles of liquor, another Bangladeshi in possession of 15 bottles of liquor, an Indian expatriate in possession of 55 liquor bottles and a Kuwaiti drug addict in possession of heroin and other drugs. The arrested individuals have been referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.

Indian nabbed: An Indian expatriate was arrested at Kuwait International Airport for attempting to smuggle two kilograms of heroin into the country, reports Al-Rai daily. According to sources, customs officers noticed that the passenger was jittery on his way out of the Arrivals hall and halted him to carry out a thorough search.

They checked his luggage and found the heroin hidden at the bottom of his luggage. He was arrested and referred with the confiscated heroin to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action
