CAIRO, Sept 20: Kuwaiti artistic gymnast Fatima Al-Nama delivered a standout performance at the Pharaoh International Championship in Cairo, claiming gold in the uneven bars and silver in the under-14 all-around competition.

Fahad Al-Soula, President of both the Kuwaiti and Arab Gymnastics Federations, congratulated Al-Nama on her achievement, praising her commitment and tireless training efforts.

He stressed that the federation is deeply invested in developing young male and female gymnasts, adding that Al-Nama’s success will inspire her teammates to push harder and bring further recognition to Kuwaiti gymnastics on the international stage.

The Kuwaiti squad in Cairo also features Abdullah Behbehani, along with gymnasts Farida Al-Shalfan and Dana Hussein. The championship runs until next Monday.

The federation views this participation as a vital opportunity for athletes to gain experience, compete at a high level, and target more medals — boosting Kuwait’s long-term ambitions of regularly reaching the podium in global competitions.
