KUWAIT CITY, Nov 8: The Court of Appeals has set the session of January 14 to consider the appeal submitted by the “fashionista”, who was involved in the “Al-Soor” accident, against the ruling that sentenced her to three-year imprisonment with hard labor and the withdrawal of her driving license for a year, after she caused the traffic accident that led to the death of two individuals.
The court also ordered the referral of the civil case to the concerned department. In the appeal documents, the defense team of the “fashionista” demanded that the ruling issued against her be annulled and that she instead be granted acquittal. It also submitted a request to expedite her trial session to the head of the department.
According to the case file, the Public Prosecution had charged the accused with ten charges, which are manslaughter, accidental injury, driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, exceeding the speed limit, crossing the red signal, driving a vehicle recklessly, driving a vehicle with invalid insurance, driving a vehicle without holding a vehicle operating license, causing damage to the property of others and causing damage to public property.
