The governor took part in planting a tree in the name of Kuwait in a city’s national park, in the presence of Samsun’s mayor Halit Dogan and Kuwait’s Ambassador to Turkiye Abdulaziz Al-Adwani, which symbolizes friendship and collaboration bonds between two countries. The Kuwaiti governor met with Dogan and discussed topics on boosting relations. Dogan thanked Sheikh Athbi for participation in these celebrations and expressed happiness for continued collaboration which contributes to sharing expertise and opening horizons of cooperation in all fields. A twinship agreement was signed between Kuwait’s Farwaniya Governorate and Turkiye’s City of Samsun in April 2016 to promote joint investments and exchange of expertise.
