KUWAIT CITY, March 20: The Central Bank’s administration has referred a Kuwaiti to the of Criminal Investigation General Department on charges of counterfeiting currency, reports Al-Anba daily.
This happened when the suspect went to the bank to exchange KD 400 (the denomination of the notes is not known) old bank notes with the new notes. However, when he was informed that the time set by the state to replace the old currency had ended, the citizen insisted that the currency in his possession should be changed.
