KUWAIT CITY, Jul 9: Officers from the Search and Investigation Department in Al-Ahmadi Governorate have arrested suspects involved in robbing expatriates by impersonating detectives, reports Al-Anba daily. According to a security source, the case unfolded when an expatriate reported to a police station in Al-Ahmadi that he had been forcefully robbed by an unknown person while returning home around 10 pm and provided details about the suspect’s vehicle. Following the report, detectives launched an intensive investigation. A few days later, they identified a vehicle matching the description that had been provided and caught the man red-handed while attempting to rob another expatriate. During interrogation, he admitted to the charges filed against him. The suspect was later identified during a police line-up.
