Each commercial visit visa was sold for between 200 and 250 dinars

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 23: An unidentified Kuwaiti and his Egyptian partner have been arrested for running a fictitious company which specialized in issuing commercial visit visas, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to security sources the arrest came after investigation personnel from the General Administration of Residence Affairs received a tip-off about the activities of the suspects and checked the company’s file.

The source added, in light of the information received, a specialized team was formed to verify the authenticity of the information and after careful follow-up it became clear to the detectives that the company through which commercial visits are issued does not exist, and that all transactions submitted by the delegate were forged. The Al-Anba daily said each commercial visit visa was sold for between 200 and 250 dinars.
