KUWAIT CITY, Jan 28:  In a proactive move aimed at upholding laws and regulations and ensuring the well-being of the public, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has taken decisive action against a food company operating in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area.

The company was found guilty of stockpiling expired food items and molasses, manipulating their expiration dates, and subsequently distributing them to restaurants and cafes. This reprehensible practice posed a significant threat to the health and safety of consumers, reports Al-Rai daily . In response to this violation, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has taken swift measures, including the closure of the implicated company. Legal proceedings against the perpetrators are currently underway, as the authorities are committed to upholding consumer safety and well-being. This intervention highlights the government’s commitment to enforcing regulations within the business sector and safeguarding the integrity of the food and beverage supply chain. The decisive actions taken serve as a deterrent to others who may engage in similar illicit practices, sending a clear message that such activities will not be tolerated.
