KUWAIT CITY, June 15: An expatriate narrowly escaped death after attempting suicide by consuming a cleaning liquid. He was first taken to the Sabah Al-Salem Clinic in critical condition and later transferred to Al-Adan Hospital for further treatment. According to a security source, the 25-year-old man was found to have high levels of toxins in his body and was immediately subjected to gastric lavage. The expatriate reportedly confessed to attempting suicide.
Following medical treatment and stabilization of his condition, authorities registered an official report of attempted suicide to initiate an investigation and determine the underlying motives. The source added that he has been referred for deportation, and his name may be added to the list of those banned from re-entering the country.
