KUWAIT CITY, Sep 18: Unusual suicide attempts are becoming more common. While methods like wrist-cutting, overdosing on pills, or hanging are typically associated with suicide attempts, there have been recent cases involving more peculiar methods. Just hours after an expatriate attempted suicide by drinking a petroleum-based substance, another expatriate attempted to take his own life by consuming two bottles of shampoo. A case of attempted suicide was registered, and the individual was placed under security custody at Farwaniya Hospital, awaiting further investigation once his condition stabilizes.
According to a report filed at Khaitan Police Station, which has been classified as a felony, a 26-year-old expatriate reported that his 40-year-old roommate consumed two 500 ml bottles of shampoo. The authorities were notified, and the Ministry of Interior dispatched an ambulance to transport the victim to the hospital.
