KUWAIT CITY, May 25: An expatriate was referred to the Central Prison for assaulting a traffic officer and two security men at Salmiya Police Station, reports Al- Anba daily. A security source revealed that a traffic officer assigned in Salmiya signaled for the expatriate to pull over as he committed a traffic violation. However, when the officer approached the expatriate to issue a violation citation, he was surprised as the latter assaulted him. The expatriate was referred to Salmiya Police Station, where he also attacked two securitymen who were on duty. A case was registered and the investigations officer ordered the referral of the expatriate to the Central Prison while waiting for the completion of investigations.
