KUWAIT CITY, June 27: An expatriate has been arrested in Kuwait for operating an illicit alcohol manufacturing and storage operation, according to a security source.

The arrest was carried out by the Ahmadi Security Directorate, under the jurisdiction of the Fahaheel Area Command (Fintas Police Station). Authorities discovered that the individual had been using several abandoned vehicles as makeshift storage units for locally produced liquor.

Following a tip-off regarding the trafficking and concealment of alcohol, security personnel launched an operation that led to the discovery of 3,828 bottles of alcoholic beverages hidden inside vehicles parked in an open parking area.

The source emphasized that the arrest is part of an ongoing campaign by the Public Security Sector to combat illegal activities. The operation was conducted under the supervision of Major General Hamad Al-Munifi, Assistant Undersecretary for Sector Affairs, as part of heightened patrol efforts and increased security deployment across the region.
