KUWAIT CITY, Oct 2: The 57th edition of the Kuwait Volleyball Federation Cup for the 2023-2024 season began on Monday, featuring four exciting matches.
In the tournament’s opening match, Al-Arabi Club showcased an impressive performance, securing victory over their rivals, Al-Tadamon, with a commanding score of 3-0. The set scores were 25-16, 25-15, and 25-22.
The second match featured a stellar performance from Al-Kuwait Club, as they triumphed over Al-Sahel in three closely contested games. The set scores were 25-15, 25-17, and 25-17.
In the third match, Kazma Club emerged victorious against Al-Shabab, winning all three games with scores of 26-24, 25-21, and 25-18.
The fourth and final match of the day saw Al-Qadisiyah Club prevail over their opponents with a score of 3-1. Although the losing team claimed the first set with a score of 26-24, Al-Qadisiyah came back strong, securing the remaining three games with scores of 25-19, 25-23, and 26-24.
It’s worth noting that this championship has a rich history, having been held 56 times. Al-Kuwait has claimed victory 18 times, while Al-Qadisiyah has secured the title 17 times. Kazma has been victorious 13 times, Al-Arabi seven times, and Al-Jahra once.
