KUWAIT CITY, Jul 3: The General Organization for Social Insurance announced that executive departments in the insurance affairs sector have been assigned to perform overtime work in the evening to complete the increasing retirement transactions and disburse pensions. The organization noted that it will continue to receive visitors in the morning only. In a press statement on Wednesday, the organization said, "To expedite the completion of transactions and in light of the new amendments to the Social Insurance Law regarding the minimum limits for retirement pensions, and the increase in the number of retirement cases in the first half of this year compared to the previous year, which resulted in a significant increase in transactions."

It added, "Therefore, we believe it is in the interest of work to assign the executive departments in the insurance affairs sector, in addition to their regular work, to perform additional work in the evening period to expedite the completion of all transactions and disburse the due pensions, on which the citizens depend for their livelihood, provided that the reception of visitors continues in the morning period only."
