EPA conducts comprehensive review of the regional events’ impact on the environment

KUWAIT CITY, June 15: Acting Director General of the Environment Public Authority (EPA), Nouf Behbehani, confirmed on Saturday that the authority is closely monitoring regional developments and is undertaking a comprehensive assessment of their environmental impact, both domestically and internationally.

In a statement to KUNA, Behbehani emphasized that in light of the region’s rapidly evolving circumstances, the EPA is operating within its mandate to evaluate potential environmental consequences. She noted that the authority is coordinating closely with relevant official entities to ensure a unified and informed response.

Behbehani affirmed the EPA’s ongoing commitment to safeguarding the environment and public well-being, stating that efforts are underway to provide accurate environmental data and to take appropriate action as necessary.

She reiterated that the authority is following up on the current situation with vigilance, aiming to respond swiftly and responsibly to any environmental risks that may arise.
