KUWAIT CITY, March 17: Some small and medium entrepreneurs have violated the government’s directives on eliminating unemployment, supporting youths and empowering the private sector, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources.

Sources said these entrepreneurs exploited the projects subsidized by the State and privileges granted to them by engaging in visa trading that prompted international organizations to accuse Kuwait of involvement in human trafficking; thereby, tarnishing the image of the country in the international arena.

Sources added the inspection tours carried out recently by the Public Authority for Manpower revealed that majority of employees in small and medium enterprises, who were found to have violated the Residency and Labor laws, entered the country through visa traders. Sources disclosed these visa traders are taking advantage of the facilities and privileges offered by the government to support youths.
