Engineers forging visas

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 7: The Ministry of Interior and the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) in cooperation with the Kuwait Society of Engineers have recently referred three ‘engineers’ to the Public Prosecution for allegedly forging work permits, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The daily added, the joint efforts of the concerned authorities resulted in the discovery of fake engineering certificates held by this group of people with the help of officials in PAM.

Informed sources said the Society of Engineers reacted to the request of the Criminal Investigation Department on the discovery of work permits which were issued to a group of residents whose engineering certificates were found not to be accredited and that the work permits were issued illegally.

The sources added three men have been referred to the Public Prosecution while the concerned authority is looking for more names to determine if there are more who have acquired the designation and the residence permit illegally or rather without the approval of the Society of Engineers.

Inmate flees,caught: A Kuwaiti prisoner, who was arrested for a drug-related case and taken to Justice Palace for court hearings, had escaped but was caught shortly after.

According to security sources, the inmate was taken to Justice Palace but he managed to escape. However, securitymen succeeded in catch him as he was running away from the Justice Palace.

Meanwhile, Public Relations and Security Media Department of Ministry of Interior denied some random reports circulating on social media about the escape of a Kuwaiti prisoner, clarifying that securitymen has arrested him and referred him to the concerned authorities
