Finally, the deceptive facade of the Iranian regime -- a tool used to shroud the region in ignorance and arrogance under meaningless slogans -- is beginning to crumble. Nevertheless, many naïve individuals have embraced these slogans, some are even seeking to align with the regime, mistakenly believing they could alter the culture of the region and rewrite its history.
However, their efforts were thwarted by the tenacity of the people who honor the permanence of history and geography, recognizing that ancient truths cannot be undone by empty and unachievable rhetoric. This context is crucial because, for the past five decades, some have failed to recognize that the Iranian regime is merely a glittering distraction, blinding people to its malicious agenda targeting the Gulf states and their peoples. It specifically refers to those who, regardless of their beliefs or political loyalty, attempt to rationalize or justify the aggressive actions of Iran.
Whatever the justification, sympathizing with such a scheme is an act of treason. In the current wartime and criminal attacks aimed at destabilizing the region, any form of sympathy for the aggressor is totally unacceptable. The ultimate target is the fundamental existence of our states, encompassing their political, economic and social frameworks. Those who attempt to sow discord must be held accountable and their actions must be stopped. The martyrs of the Gulf states, who fell while defending their homeland, demonstrated a level of patriotism that is far more genuine than those who applaud these attacks.
The wounded and fallen embody the national identity in its truest form. At this critical juncture, prioritizing the homeland over ideology is absolute. We cannot afford to permit the proliferation of damaging opinions that contradict the reality of the threat we face. The attempt by some to distinguish between the criminal aggression of Iran and its right to self-defense is fundamentally a form of betrayal, seeking to blind us to the true nature of the Persian regime.
The current conflict has torn away all pretexts, unequivocally exposing the expansionist reality of Tehran. The ‘good neighborliness’ slogan of the regime has collapsed, revealing its real and uncompromising face. Consequently, there is no longer any basis for supporting Iran, even for those who previously viewed it as indispensable.
The political dynamics must change. Those who remain committed to the old position must abandon their illusion and confront the reality of the situation. This moment serves as a potent reminder of the historical suffering that the Iranian regime inflicted on Kuwait and the region -- a pattern stretching from the 1980s to the present day.
Whenever a crisis escalates, Tehran predictably reverts to threatening the Gulf states and attempting to carry out various destructive acts to destabilize them. Unfortunately, governments have shown restraint and wisdom in dealing with those who used irrational political ends as justification for the actions, often hoping for the understanding of everyone.
Still, this patient approach has proven ineffective for individuals whose judgment is obscured by ignorance, preventing them from recognizing reality. The ongoing war, marked by systematic and daily aggression from Iran against our countries, exposed the expansionist agenda of the regime. We have consistently cautioned against falling into the trap of Iran. Yet, there remains a group whose vile aims and hopes for unattainable slogans indicate they do not deserve allegiance to the homeland.
It is disheartening that this minority of Gulf citizens express affection for an enemy intent on causing destruction to them and their families, especially since loyal citizens are sacrificing their lives. We must honor the real martyrs by welcoming them into our homeland and extending the blessing of citizenship to their families.
