For those who know the Kingdom of Bahrain well, it is the ‘Monte Carlo’ of the Gulf and the entire region. Bahrain was built on the foundation of unity and consensus between its leadership and citizens. It has long been serving as the historic crossroads for people in the region, much as it did in the ancient era of Dilmun. Moreover, its foreign policy has consistently favored warm and open relations with neighbors, as well as the firm commitment to non-interference in the internal affairs of other sovereign states. At present, the Kingdom continues to flourish as a peaceful haven where individuals enjoy a comfortable standard of living, driven by personal initiative and sustained through social harmony.
Throughout its history -- from the era of the Shah to the present day, Bahrain has repeatedly repelled Iranian attempts to assert control. This enduring resilience is powered by a deep-seated national loyalty that easily dismantles malicious campaigns aimed at dividing the populace. In recognition of this unwavering public resolve, the King proclaimed the ‘Day of Covenant and Loyalty’ during his speech at the opening of the new legislative term of the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives. The relationship between the leadership and citizens of Bahrain is built on solid and unshakeable principles. Loyalty to the nation is shown through allegiance to its leaders, led by King Hamad bin Isa and Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa
This symbolic bond stands on solid footing, as the Kingdom remains a steady beacon amidst the turbulent waters that frequently affect the Gulf. Nevertheless, as long as there is unyielding faith in the ability to overcome challenges and a strong commitment to turn challenges into avenues for progress in every sector, such turbulent waves will break to no avail. Great aspirations, driven by unwavering determination, consistently transform into tangible reality for everyone to see. This is a reflection of the divine saying: “As for the foam, it passes away as scum upon the banks, while that which is of benefit to the people remains on Earth.” Guided by this fact, the Kingdom steadily progresses, undeterred by hardships.
Over the past five decades, this distinguished kingdom has withstood repeated acts of sabotage by the Iranian regime, rising stronger after every trial. Today, under the guidance of its King and the diligent supervision of the Crown Prince, Bahrain continues to develop in all sectors, disregarding the destructive plots of its adversaries. Bahrain stands as a paragon of steadfastness, enduring the hostility of an ambitious neighbor with patience that rises higher than Iran’s Alborz Mountains. A profound sense of optimism illuminated the speech delivered by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa two days ago, offering hope even after the unfathomable suffering caused by Iran in Bahrain and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states.
Social stability and the essential sense of security, the ‘lungs’ through which the region breathes, were severely disrupted by a small group of radicalized individuals. Through decisive action, the Kingdom eliminated these subversive elements and reclaimed its place of freedom and refinement. It continues as an active GCC member and historic crossroads connecting the Gulf, East and West. This success highlights the strategic vision of King Hamad bin Isa and the Crown Prince, as well as the resilience of the Bahraini people who remain vigilant and are capable of navigating complex trials. Surrounded by ancient seas, this nation has always produced rare pearls despite the deepest waters of adversity. Guided by a leadership committed to national dignity, its people excel at overcoming every obstacle. Ultimately, the ‘Monte Carlo’ of the Gulf exemplifies a rare harmony of elegance and lasting strength.
