KUWAIT CITY, July 17: Zaid Al-Enezi, the Head of the Emergency and Rapid Intervention Team in the Municipality of the Capital Governorate and Rapporteur of the Committee for the Elimination of Non-Family Housing in Private and Model Housing, has disclosed that 146 properties found in violation have had their power supply disconnected across all governorates. This action was taken by the supervisory teams, five weeks after the committee's initiation.
During the fifth week of the committee's operation, Al-Enezi reported that the supervisory teams in all governorates issued 323 warnings to properties in violation, out of which 218 were inspected. The remaining inspections are still in progress. He also highlighted the recent efforts of the field team in Farwaniya Governorate, which carried out an extensive campaign in the Khaitan region. As a result, seven properties were identified as non-compliant, with power supply being cut off from six properties that were found to be in violation of Decree 125 of 1992. These properties were deemed to be in contravention of the regulations and laws established by the authorities and ministries affiliated with the committee. Additionally, seven warnings were issued.
