KUWAIT CITY, Aug 28: As part of intensified security efforts to combat forgery, bribery, and protect the integrity of government procedures, the Criminal Security Sector—represented by the Criminal Investigation and Licensing Department—in cooperation with the Public Authority for Manpower, has dismantled a criminal network involved in falsifying work visa applications for commercial companies in exchange for bribes.
Investigations revealed that an employee of the Public Authority for Manpower in Hawalli Governorate, who at the time was serving as acting director of the department, exploited his position by supplying an intermediary with valid transactions. These were then used in forgery operations, specifically requesting work permits for members of the Egyptian community, in exchange for bribes ranging between 130 and 250 Kuwaiti dinars per application.
Authorities arrested the intermediary, who confessed that he received the official transactions from the employee and passed them to a worker at a local printing press. The printing press employee would then falsify the original data and re-upload it through the “Sahel” app. For each falsified application, the printing worker was reportedly paid five dinars.
The investigation led to the arrest of multiple suspects, identified as:
- Osama Sami Jadallah (Egyptian)
- Muhammad Awad Abdel Karim (Egyptian)
- Abdul Qader Madloul Habtoor (Syrian)
- Abdul Ghani Abdul Wahab (Egyptian)
The Ministry of Interior emphasized that strict legal measures will continue to be enforced against individuals who attempt to exploit government systems through bribery or forgery, reaffirming its commitment to protecting the transparency of public services and safeguarding Kuwait’s administrative integrity.
