Egyptian MP fined KD 10,000 for insulting Kuwaiti MP Safa’a Al-Hashem

KUWAIT CITY, May 14: The court has fined Mortada Mansour, a member of the Egyptian parliament, 10,000 dinars for insulting Kuwaiti MP Safa’a Al-Hashem, reports Al-Anba daily.
The attorney of Al-Hashem had filed a complaint against Mansour accusing him of abusing his client and demeaning her dignity. The judge has referred the civil case to the competent court, where Al-Hashem is expected to seek compensation for libel.
