KUWAIT CITY, March 25: In a heartwarming display of unity and fellowship, the Egyptian Coptic Church in Kuwait hosted its annual “Gathering of Love” event, bringing together diverse members of society including sheikhs, clerics, church priests, diplomats, and political and social figures. reports Al-Qabas daily. The event exemplified the spirit of Ramadan with its atmosphere of love and camaraderie. Egyptian Ambassador to Kuwait, Osama Shaltout, underscored the deeprooted and enduring ties between Egypt and Kuwait, spanning political, economic, and cultural spheres. He lauded the contributions of the Egyptian community in Kuwait to the country’s development, emphasizing Egypt’s national unity as a model for the world.

Expressing gratitude to Kuwait’s leadership, government, and people for their unwavering support of the Egyptian community, Ambassador Shaltout commended the tradition of the “gathering of love” as a cherished practice of the Egyptian Church in Kuwait, fostering bonds of affection among the Egyptian diaspora. Father Bigul, Bishop Bishoy, of the Egyptian Coptic Church highlighted the unique Ramadan atmosphere in Kuwait, characterized by unity and joy. He affirmed the bonds of friendship and love among Kuwait’s diverse populace, underscoring the country’s environment of safety, security, and harmony. Dr. Siham Al-Qabandi, a professor at Kuwait University, praised the gathering as a reflection of Kuwait’s civilized and humanitarian ethos, nurtured under the leadership of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad.
