Dubai decides to resume economic activities from May 27

DUBAI, May 25 (KUNA) – The Dubai government decided today to resume economic activities in Emirates from May 27 and to allow traffic from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Executive Council Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum said in an official statement that the decision was based on a careful assessment of the current situation in its various health, economic and social dimensions.

Sheikh Hamdan added that there are considered steps in preparation for the gradual return to normal life, taking into account all necessary health measures.

The decision issued by the Dubai government stipulated that the masks must be used when leaving the house, abide by a social distance of two meters, and apply financial penalties to anyone who violates the instructions.

The decision clarified that it is not allowed to enter the commercial centers, cinema, sports centers, educational centers for children under the age of 12 years, the elderly over the age of 60, and the people who suffer from chronic diseases and are vulnerable to infection.

The decision stressed the commitment to continuous sterilization and the use of single-use tools in all facilities.

Facilities available for it to operate include retail and wholesale stores, medical clinics including ENT, training and education institutes, academies, gyms and fitness clubs.

The decision also included the resumption of entertainment and recreation centers and government services outsourcing centers, while Dubai International Airport will continue to receive (transit) flights.

Emirates today recorded 822 new cases infected with Corona emerging (COVID 19) Total cases to reach about 30,000 new cases, while the number recoveries reached more than 15,000 people with 248 deaths.
