Drunk Kuwaiti duo ram police car, arrested

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 28: Police have arrested two Kuwaitis for possessing and consuming alcohol and colliding with a police vehicle twice, reports Al-Anba daily.

The suspects were reportedly riding a 4-wheel drive and ignored police request to pull over. They continued driving and hit the police vehicle twice during a chase until their vehicle got stuck in a desert because of soft sandy road. Police also seized from the vehicle 3 bottles of booze.

The Kuwaitis, who were drunk at the time of arrest, have been handed over to the General Department for Drugs and Alcohol Control.

Meanwhile, police have arrested a Kuwaiti for possessing drugs and assaulting police, reports Al- Rai daily. He was arrested in Nugra on suspicion. Police asked the man while driving in the area to pull over and demanded to see his ID. At that time police saw a sachet of drugs in his car and to avoid arrest he swallowed the sachet got out of the car and started running. Police chased and arrested him and took him to the Mubarak Al- Kabir Hospital and forced him to purge what he had swallowed
