KUWAIT CITY, Sept 4: A Bangladeshi expatriate was arrested in Fahaheel area in possession of 200 narcotic pills locally known as ‘Farawla’ and KD 350 cash, says Al-Seyassah. According to security sources, Ahmadi securitymen were patrolling Fahaheel area when they suspected a vehicle and ordered the motorist to pull over. They checked his details and discovered he is a Bangladeshi expatriate. Sensing his nervousness, securitymen checked his vehicle and found the narcotic pills. When questioned, he confessed that he was planning to sell them. He was arrested and referred with the narcotic pills to the Drugs Control General Department for necessary legal action. Meanwhile, an Asian expatriate was arrested in Mahboula area in possession of two bottles of locally manufactured liquor.
Drug peddler held: Jahra Security Command officers arrested a citizen for the possession of narcotic substances and some cash, believed to be revenues from selling drugs, says Al-Seyassah. While patrolling the area, the officers noticed the suspicious action of the citizen who appeared agitated when they approached him, so they carried out routine inspection, leading to the discovery of three sachets of crystal meth and marijuana in his possession. A case was registered and the citizen was referred to the concerned security department.
Youth arrested: Security operatives attached to Ahmadi Command arrested a 23-year old youth in possession of the drug known as “strawberry” and other illicit substances meant for consumption and sale, says Al-Seyassah. The officers were on regular tour of Mahboula area when they sighted the suspect driving in an erratic manner. They ordered the suspect to pull up for checking and recovered drugs and its paraphernalia carefully hidden inside his vehicle. The suspect has since been referred to the concerned authority.
