Drug Addiction Leads to Theft: Stolen Delivery Vehicle Recovered in Ahmadi

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 2: Ahmadi police officers successfully solved a theft case involving a delivery vehicle after arresting the suspect, who later confessed to the crime. The theft occurred when the vehicle had been left running, and the perpetrator (desperate for transportation) took advantage of the opportunity.

During the arrest, authorities discovered that the suspect had five needles, including one prepared for immediate use, and a roll of “crystal meth”. In his confession, the man revealed that drug addiction had led to his job loss, leaving him unemployed. The narcotics also depleted his savings, which he said ultimately drove him to steal the vehicle.

The Incident
According to a security source, an Asian expatriate employed as a delivery driver reported to the Ministry of Interior’s operations room that he had stopped at a house in the Mutlaa area to confirm an address while delivering an order. At that moment, an unknown individual entered the vehicle and drove away.

Police Response
The vehicle’s description was immediately circulated among local patrols. Officers patrolling the Jaber Al-Ali area spotted the stolen vehicle with a person inside and arrested him on the spot. Upon searching the suspect, police found the drugs and paraphernalia described above.

Authorities confirmed that the case is now closed, thanks to the swift response of the Ahmadi Police, and further investigations are ongoing to determine any additional offenses connected to the suspect.
