DR Congo govt, M23 sign declaration of principles to end conflict

DOHA, July 19, (Xinhua): The government of the Democratic Republic of Congo signed a declaration of principles with the March 23 Movement (M23) rebel group here on Saturday to end the conflict in the country's eastern region.

This marks a significant step forward after months of Qatar-mediated negotiations, paving the way for a comprehensive peace agreement.
