DOHA, Dec 24: The third Arab Elite Tennis Championship, hosted by Qatar was inaugurated at the Khalifa International Tennis Complex in Doha. The prestigious event is proudly sponsored by the Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait and KGL.

Dr. Abdullah Abdulaziz, the Secretary-General of the Kuwaiti Arab Tennis Federation, expressed his utmost confidence in the organizational capabilities of the Qatari Tennis Federation, led by Nasser Al-Khelaifi. He praised Qatar’s state-of-the-art tennis complex and the extensive experience of the Qatari organizers in hosting major sporting events. Dr. Abdulaziz, speaking at the tournament’s press conference, conveyed warm greetings from Sheikh Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Tennis Federation. He emphasized that the success of the previous two editions held in Kuwait motivated the Federation to continue, with the aim of hosting all member states and promoting tennis more robustly across Arab countries.

Acknowledging the pivotal role of the General Sports Authority in facilitating the Arab Federation’s mission in Kuwait, Dr. Abdulaziz expressed gratitude for their efforts in overcoming obstacles.
Dr. Abdulaziz extended sincere thanks to the Chairman and members of the Qatar Tennis Federation’s Board of Directors for hosting the third edition, ensuring its success in record time. He also appreciated the significant support and sponsorship from the main sponsors, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait and KGL Company. Recognizing the crucial role played by “BeIN Sports” channel group and “Al-Kas” channels, he expressed gratitude for their support and coverage of the tournament.

Saad Al-Muhannadi, the Executive Director of the Qatar Football Federation, welcomed tournament guests and participants, expressing deep appreciation for the Arab Federation’s confidence in Qatar’s ability to organize this edition. He pledged that Qatar’s federation would utilize all resources to showcase the event in the most beautiful way possible. Al-Muhannadi praised the Arab Federation’s efforts in spreading and developing tennis.
