KUWAIT CITY, June 27: The President of the Kuwait Medical Association (KMA), Dr. Ahmad Al-Enezi, announced the KMA has filed four cases against persons who are said to have violated the dignity of the doctors and medical profession. In a statement, Al-Enezi said he totally rejects the violation of the dignity of doctors through false information and malicious rumors, and warned such abuses threaten the health security in the country. He called on civil society to defend its sons working in all technical fields particularly the medical staff who are working to save lives under the current exceptional circumstances as the country and the whole world is fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.

He stated the medical information related to the ‘Covid-19’ virus is available to everyone with evidence and refutes all rumors and personal whims, so it is not acceptable to prejudice the dignity of doctors and question their efforts and their important and effective role in protecting the health and safety of the society. He stressed the ethics of the medical profession is the basis for presenting and communicating with the community, pointing out that the KMA is always keen to take legal measures to deter anyone who might offend the ‘medical body’ and health security in the country.
