TUNIS, Aug 26: The Arab Tennis Championship for boys and girls under 14 concluded successfully, organized by the Arab Tennis Federation under the leadership of Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, in cooperation with the Tunisian Tennis Federation. The event took place at the Tennis Club of Marsa Sports Future, with the participation of ten Arab countries.
In the boys’ category, Morocco secured first place, followed by Tunisia in second and Syria in third. In the girls’ competition, Tunisia dominated by winning both first and second place with its two teams, while Egypt claimed third place.
The winners were honored at a closing ceremony held in Tunis, where Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber, Chairman of the Arab Tennis Federation, presented the trophies. The ceremony was attended by Kuwait’s Ambassador to Tunisia, Mansour Al-Omar, several Arab ambassadors, the Vice President of the International Tennis Federation, Salma Mouelhi, the Arab Federation Secretary, Ali Lafi Al-Mutairi, the Secretary General of both the Arab and Egyptian Federations, Walid Sami, and officials from the Tunisian Tennis Federation.
In his remarks, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber expressed his pride in the success of the championship, thanking the Tunisian Tennis Federation for its cooperation and efforts to ensure excellent organization and presentation.
He emphasized that the strong participation of ten Arab countries represents a major milestone for Arab tennis. He reaffirmed that the Federation is committed to developing the sport, broadening its reach across the region, and nurturing new generations capable of representing the Arab world on the international stage.
