LOS ANGELES, Jan 31, (Agencies): Demi Moore imparts profound advice for families coping with a loved one affected by dementia, drawing from her personal experiences with ex-husband Bruce Willis's health struggles. During a recent interview on Andy Cohen's SiriusXM show Radio Andy, Moore, alongside her Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans castmates, discussed her blended family dynamics and close friendship with Willis amidst his battle with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) and aphasia.

When Cohen asked for advice for those dealing with family members with dementia, Moore emphasized the importance of meeting them where they are. "The most important thing I could share is just to meet them where they're at," she expressed. Encouraging a shift away from preconceived notions about the person's identity, Moore suggested embracing the present and finding joy and love in the current state.

"When you let go of who they've been or who you think they [should be], or who even you would like them to be, you can then really stay in the present," Moore continued, "and take in the joy and the love that is present and there for all that they are, not all that they're not."

Amidst the serious discussion, a lighthearted moment occurred when Moore's co-star Chloë Sevigny joked about applying the advice to dealing with her non-dementia-related challenges with her mom, adding a touch of humor to the conversation.

Moore, along with her three daughters, has been navigating the complexities of Willis's health condition. The family, along with Willis's wife Emma Heming and their two children, has been spending quality time together amid the actor's declining health, showcasing a unified front in the face of these challenges.
