Various proposals are being submitted to find a final solution to this issue which will be reviewed very soon.  The Minister of Commerce and Industry,  Dr. Abdullah Al-Salman is in favor of implementing a KD 500 fee per year for renewal of residence of expats plus health insurance. The Prime Minister has requested that all proposals submitted in this regard be submitted to the advisory team of the Council of Ministers to make appropriate recommendations in the interest of the labor market and not conflict with the government’s demographics plan.
