Death sentence for killing friend at camping site

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 16: The Criminal Court has sentenced to death an individual for murdering his friend by running over him at a camping site in Kabad, while another was sentenced to two years in jail for hitting the victim with a hammer. Case files indicate that the Operations Unit in the Ministry of Interior received a call from an individual who reported that some unknown persons kidnapped his friend and took him to Kabad where he was hit with a vehicle. He said his friend was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

A team of securitymen and forensic experts went to the hospital where they examined the body. They also kept the friend, who reported the incident, in custody. During investigation, he admitted that he, the victim and other friends went to the camping site where they beat him due to disputes over unpaid debts. After beating their friend, they headed to another location, but they were surprised when their friend drove a stolen vehicle and chased them.
